    This is my first installment of what will be a series on the Dark Carnival.  I hope those who already know enjoy the read and I also hope this will enlighten a few others on what so many of us live by.

The dark carnival in essence, is what all members of the “hatchet family” represent.  Whole heartedly, every single “juggalo” and “juggalette” stand very proudly for the “dark carnival.”  What is the dark carnival, and what is a juggalo and juggalette?  Well there is over ten years worth of history developed behind these phrases commonly coined by a group known as the Insane Clown Posse.

    A juggalo is simply someone who follows and believes in the verses written and preached by ICP in their music.  Some label themselves rejects of society, or freak shows if you will.  This creates a family, a band of brothers who all stand up for one another, share the same beliefs, and stand together united by the hatchet.  Don’t worry the significance of the hatchet will be explained shortly.  Simply put a juggalette is just the female version of a juggalo, but dont cut them off short, they are quick to grab you up by your wig if you disrespect the family.

     As told throughout the entire “Joker Card Saga” within subliminal messages, The Dark Carnival is just ICP’s interpretation of heaven.  Personally I believe they just wrote horrific lyrics to channel together the masses whom had a internal hate, who had nothing else.  Once gathered ICP showed them the light, proved there are many people who relate to them as a person and that there is something else in the afterlife where we all will unite.  There are many religions out there but I really admire the creative twist Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope developed to bring people to the light.  Is there a a supernatural or even a afterlife?  Sorry I can’t answer that question for you, its you decision to follow faith or just remain Agnostic.

     The Hatchet/Hatchet man is the symbol which represents all Juggalos and Juggalettes.  It is also the logo used to symbolize “the label that runs beneath the streets,” the one and only “Psychopathic Records.”  Violent J and Shaggy started this underground label themselves and through struggle made the label what it is today.  They currently have several talented groups signed with them, here is a few to melt those ear drums: Twiztid, Any Body Killa, Blaze Ya Dead Homie, and Boondox.  Those are amongst the favorite in my playlist, I think you will find them very interesting and unique as well. 

     Oh I can fell your senses being intrigued now and you crave more from these deranged yet very creative psycho’s.  I will have alot more for you soon to come, but until then, manifest yourself in this newfound universe.  I have but opened the door for you, will you choose to walk through?
